Date Night: Our Favorite Italian Restaurant

We’re trying to take advantage of this three day weekend by going to all the places we’ve been wanting to go to, but haven’t had the time to.  Friday night was reserved for lounging around and playing computer games, which we enjoy very much.  For Saturday, we planned to go on a hike, then go to our favorite Italian restaurant.  We ended up not going on the hike, since we were distracted by computer games (Sim City, why are you so addicting?!).  However, we did go to the restaurant and a spontaneous visit to the beach.

We went to eat at Mama D’s.  Only the best Italian restaurant ever.  Okay, I don’t know if it’s the best ever, but it’s one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to.  I think the only thing that might rival with it, is food from Italy.  This restaurant has the BEST service EVER.  EVER.  Everyone is so friendly and attentive to you, it’s crazy.  If you have to wait for a table, they provide bread, blankets (if it’s cold), and couches.  Our waiter gave me a Tide pen after I dropped pasta on myself.  What restaurant does all these things for you?

The restaurant is famous for it’s pink sauce.  You have to get it.  It’s AMAZING.  I can’t even describe the amazingness and foodgasmness you’ll have when you eat it.  I wish I had an unlimited supply!  Mark and I both ordered the same thing, but with different pasta and meats.  You can customize your plate, picking which pasta you would like, groups of vegetables, meat, and sauce.  The portions are huge.  The bread with garlic and olive oil is super good.  The service, fantastic.  I have no complaints about this restaurant.  Wait!  The parking… it’s kind of hard to find parking, especially if you go on the weekend during the dinner rush.  Other than that, this place is perfect.  Mark and I were in food heaven.

This is Mark’s dish.  He ordered the Roma with fettuccine and a meatball.   SO DELICIOUS.

After dinner, we walked to the beach, which is a five minute walk away.  It was a beautiful day and the sun was still shining after we finished eating.  Since we didn’t go hiking, this would be our walk.  I think this is the first time we’ve ever been to the beach together, even though we live pretty close.  It was really nice being able to sit on the sand, enjoying the night, and walking together in the sand.

Three day weekends are the best and Sunday will be a new adventure!  We both need to make every moment together count.  Graduation is approaching quickly and our time together may be limited.  It’s really sad to think about, but we don’t think about that now.  We have to look on the positive side and that is, we’re spending this beautiful weekend together and it’s still not over!
