Volcano Choir – Byegone

From their newest album Repave, Volcano Choir’s “Byegone” was a song I picked for today’s musical tunes. After college, being at home, I’ve been doing a lot of self assessment, a lot of thinking about who I am and what my purpose in life is. Thinking about ways I can improve myself, thinking about the man I want to be in the future, and the little changes I can make in my everyday life. I guess this music made me think more deeply into what I want to become. There’s a line that keeps repeating “Set Sail” and that rings so magnificently in my ear. It makes me think about love, travel, my character as a person. I hope you enjoy this, because I know I did.

Volcano Choir – Tiderays

Hey guys! In Today’s Tune in Tuesday, I picked a song by the Volcano Choir called Tiderays. First off,the title sounds magnificent. I first heard this song this morning actually, and it is such a great wake-up song. I was actually in a bad mood today because my sister woke me up so I had to drop her off to volleyball practice, my hair was everywhere, not to mention I had to pick up her friends, so obviously I look terribly diabolical hehe…but when I came back and heard this song I was actually excited to be awake. Kinda gave me a feeling of purpose today. So if it’s one of those bad Tuesdays you are experiencing..check this song out. I hope you enjoy :) If you can also, check out Mallory’s awesome trip to Nagoya!

Volcano Choir – Goodbye

Special edition to Tune in Tuesday! I am in Vegas! And being here for the first time, especially with my awesome girlfriend, makes me think of the many adventures we will have in our lives. Talking about adventures, I decided to pick a song called Goodbye by Volcano Choir, because the song is an adventure on itself. The melody is comprised of the melodramatic tone of Justin Vernon who also played in Bon Iver, but at the same time adhering to how I describe it an earthy atmosphere. Please listen and I hope you enjoy :)
